Games gone by
Ah…. fun, fun times.
A couple years ago, before Otto and I got married, I think… Before name changes and weight loss and house buying… We spent a goodly amount of time gaming with some people. It was a pretty decent campaign, though it would frequently irritate the shit out of me. Like that’s a surprise.
Anyway, we were playing in Middle Earth, before the whole LotR thing. Otto’s character was a high man… the race of man that was more awesome than the “normal” race of men… you know, the race Aragorn came from. He was annoying to my character. All honest and trustworthy and crap…. 
I played a wood elf (the kind you rarely see in Middle Earth, the frisky forest folk who messed with Bilbo and Co. on their way through Mirkwood.) I was from Mirkwood, as a matter of fact… and had a twin brother. Liara was an Illusionist, not the most trustworthy of sorts… not so much because she was evil in any way as she was capricious, liked to laugh, and was neutral in her morality. She was also a bit loose, but that’s beside the point. She was definitely fun. I’ll draw her one day.
We also had a mage in our party that always seemed to get criticals that would litterly blow people’s heads off… the only thing we didn’t have was a damned vorpal bunny. My next campaign I so want a damn vorpal bunny familiar…
Anyway, for some reason on this particular adventure she was on she kept a journal. (It’s like her player would get extra exp for record-keeping or something… *wink*). I came across it whilst cleaning and rearranging the studio. One page in particular caught my eye. A page that pretty much sums up Liara in a single glance…

We were going to rescue a bunch of hostages, Liara doesn’t like her fellow team members much, and this is waay funnier for me than it will ever be for anyone who wasn’t there. But it needs to be here, because I just about pissed my pants laughing, it was so great.
p.s. you can tell the elves by the ears… 
Anyway, it’s also reminding me that I need to make “classic” size character sheets. I also need to make more New Rules workout sheets for fatloss three and beyond. So I should prolly do that.
