I’m just not feeling too good at the moment. Wish I could work out, but between feeling like leg day gets me nowhere and just not feeling well… that’s a no go. Maybe in a bit I’ll at least do some bridges and movement prep. Otto’s working out tho, so that’s good.
Kinda hot actually.
Anywho, thankfully today is the last day of taxfree weekend… because trying to get a bit o’ normal shopping done was downright hellish. Fortunately, I’m a patient girl today (odd, I know… wtf?!?) so it wasn’t all that bad… but sometimes it was not pleasent.
Dick’s doesn’t seem to have the nike socks Otto wears anymore, so that’ll have to be something I have to look for elsewhere. Hopefully Target or something will have them. It’s Nike… you’d figure it wouldn’t be all that hard to find. I didn’t bother taking back the couple things I was planning to… tomorrow most likely, since then it’s a weekday during the day, much better time to head to the mall and plazas. Since I got some clothes I think I’ll wait to get some stuff for my dress and jewelry… I did spend a bit on jeans yesterday so I don’t really need to spend more. Looking down my list tho, I do see that I did everything I was planning on, so that is good.
Will head down to cook in a bit, so that Otto has lunch stuff this coming week. I just have stuff for pasta, but after I come up with a decent recipe for something else, I’ll prolly go ahead and get something else to add a bit of variety. But not until something is cooked (pasta) so that I don’t get into an issue with nothing getting cooked for the sake of trying to add variety. I’m more thinking I want him to have something else for dinners, not lunches, anyway.
So, look hard as I may, I could not find bagles at the grocery. This has been seriously bugging me of late. Since all the groceries in town seem sooo damn obsessed with having one store in every part of town, none are actually big enough to have any real selection of things. This means that oftimes things that we like very specifically we can only get at the one large store 10 miles away anyway. I mean, it’s nice to not have to drive far when you’re out of milk and bread, but these stores can’t even stay consistant in their selection from one week to the next, so it’s not like I even know what I can’t get close by and have to drive across town for. I’d rather just have to drive across town. Yes, I know I could, but here’s the thing…
Today: Not much I want. And I know it’s all at the store I’m going to. So no need to go to the larger farther store and have melting food when I get home. Get there. 1st time in the years they’ve been open, NO bagles of the brand we buy. NONE. Not just out of one, but like they discontinued the whole damn line. Now, I already have a cartful of crap, already spent all the time and effort of going there, shopping, etc… So it’s not like I’m just gonna go hop in my car and now drive across town to where I was right before heading home and stopping by the nearer store on the way. It’s just retarded. And they prolly have no frigging clue how inconvienent their “convienence” of having a nearer store is most of the effing time.
..
So sunday or monday I burned myself whilst removing the cookie sheet from the oven. And it’s been alternately hurting and itching for the last week now. It was a minor 2nd degree, some bubbling, but not bad, and it’s gotten better. But it is utterly annoying. UGH! Keeping it covered doesn’t help too much. I mean, it helps it heal, but is not helping in the lessening of the itching/pain. It’s drying out tho, which is making it worse.
